The FMADFED awarded MeritCare Health Systems (now Sanford Health) the ADDY GOLD AWARD for printing of the MeritCare Centennial Book.
MeritCare (now Sanford Health) celebrated its centennial in 2008-09. The hospital’s marketing department needed a person who could focus solely on the centennial project for the year; someone who could push forward and make sure things got done, as all other marketing staff had their own existing on-going work.
The marketing department contracted Reach Partners, Inc. to project manage the year-long centennial celebration. Each month had a theme, which involved internal and external communication, along with activities and events. Besides project management, Reach Partners created agendas and facilitated planning meetings.
Reach Partners knows how to be self-sufficient when it comes to the work the company tackles. One of its strengths is being able to pick up a project, take the initiative and get it done.
“We didn’t do all the work, we just made sure that it all got done,” says Anita Hoffarth, Reach Partners, Inc. “We weren’t setting the course, but we made sure the boat kept moving.”
Reach Partners coordinated dozens of events throughout the year, including a “Blast from the Past” employee event, Healing Hands Ceremony, registering and getting MeritCare’s float to more than 30 area parades, and the management and production of a history book for the centennial.
Often times with large projects, the details can change. Goals, strategies and tactics are fluid and projects aren’t always black and white. Reach Partners knows it’s important to check in from time to time.
“We’re fluid and flexible with those client needs,” Hoffarth says.
Reach Partners completed a successful year of events for MeritCare’s centennial celebration, seeing that projects were managed well and that deadlines were met.
