Training & Curriculum Development
Because workplace programs have the ability to affect the most measurable health change per community group, the goal is to get more North Dakota businesses and organizations to offer and participate in worksite wellness programs.
Using learner-centered training pedagogy to motivate participants into action, Reach Partners, under a team of wellness partners, produces curriculum for 2-day Worksite Wellness Coordinator training. The program includes "LePSA" learning-centered teaching: Le=learner centered, participatory group work that asks probing questions to learn where the students are in their knowledge of the subject and builds upon it; P = problem-posing with open-ended questions following scenarios or role play; S = self-discovery, creates ownership and buy-in to the concepts; and A = action-oriented sot that students run out the door to do what we’re working toward. Reach Partners provides meeting management for the curriculum development phase and event management for the actual training and participants. |
